Dangerous Muse, New York City's electronic/rock duo, formed when Mike Furey and Tom Napack met as students at Fordham University. Furey, a singer-songwriter trained in piano, wanted to experiment with a more electronic sound and Napack, a musician-programmer, desired to collaborate with a lyricist. Their first recording, "The Rejection," which caught the attention of legendary record mogul Seymour Stein, marks the beginning of their symbiotic relationship.

In 2005 Stein offered the duo a demo deal with Sire Records and facilitated their signing to Cordless Recordings, a digital imprint of Warner Music Group. "The Rejection," their debut three-song EP, entered at #2 on the iTunes Dance album chart and held its position for weeks. "The Rejection" music video aired on MTV's Logo Network and in its second week went to #1 on the countdown. This success rallied significant press coverage for the duo in magazines, newspapers, and blogs. Highlights include: the cover of The Advocate's annual music issue, Perez Hilton's popular blog, and ÒYear End Ones to WatchÓ in the New York Daily News.

"Give Me Danger," their second single and digital EP, was released in Fall 2006. This six-song EP was comprised of "The Rejection" EP and three new songs. Upon release, the EP debuted top ten on iTunes' Electronic album chart. With this continued momentum, the duo focused on live shows and toured in select cities across the United States.

In Fall 2007, Sire Records releases the band's version of Ministry favorite "Everyday Is Halloween" with an alternate version of "Give Me Danger."

"Superstars like Madonna, Depeche Mode and Moby have been few and far between. Mike Furey and Tom Napack of Dangerous Muse could easily be another exception to the rule. Dangerous Muse have the songs, but they also have the style, looks, and unswerving dedication and most of all, the smarts to break through in a big, big way and stay there for a long, long time. I'm betting they can and will do it."
- Seymour Stein (Founder, Sire Records).

Since their first release, Dangerous Muse has sold over 80,000 songs, hosted more than 1,000,000 visits to their MySpace profile, and launched a successful online merchandise store. They are currently recording a debut full-length album. Release is expected in Spring 2008.
