Lene Lovich is featured in the spring issue of V magazine with Kate Bosworth on the cover. V honors Lene's contributions to music with a page in their Heroes section.

Singer-songwriter / feminist firecracker Bitch and her band The Exciting Conclusion will join host David Garland for a Spinning on Air session on WNYC on Sunday Feb 25th at 7pm. She'll discuss her music and message and perform in the studio. Tune in at 93.9FM or at wnyc.org.

Multi-talented singer-producer-instrumentalist Adam Joseph bursts onto the scene with a track on Sony's Music With a Twist compilation. This winter he's taking his seductive dance-pop on tour in Europe, and his video for the smooth R & B gem "Your Mine" is currently in production.

Matthew Duffy is releasing "#1 Enemy," the first single off his new collection of electro-pop dancefloor bangers, "The Healing Machine." It's a dark, sexy track, like if Madonna kissed Peaches instead of Britney. The video for it will be directed by Eric Shoe (Snoop Dogg, Wyclef Jean, Bow Wow); "The Healing Machine" drops this spring.

Dangerous Muse were featured alongside the likes of Lily Allen and The Shins in a NY Daily News piece on hot new artists to watch in 2007.

Bitch, formerly of the duo Bitch and Animal, has teamed up with Kill Rock Stars to offer Make This/Break This. Flavorpill calls her show "A hellfire storm of hip-hop, rock, rap, and unrestrained rage." This winter and spring Bitch is taking her politically charged firestorm to the masses, beginning February 27 at Joe's Pub. Check the tourdates page for the dates.

Goat is attacking AAA radio where his single, "Two Sides to Love" has peaked at #21. He has recently performed sessions at Premiere Radio, XM's Cafˇ, WFUV and Mixed Bag Radio and is receiving airplay at Philly's WXPN. Dangerous Muse will be guest DJ-ing at the Outdanced Party at Chicago's Funky Buddha Lounge on July 18th. The boys are also featured in the latest issue of Flaunt Magazine in a multi-page, dead-sexy pictorial, featuring harnesses and pit bulls among other things. Some photos from this shoot were posted on Logo Online along with an interview. The video for "The Rejection" is done and will be debuting on Logo's NewNowNext show, which the band will also host. Mosquitos will be back this fall with "III," their aptly named third record (Bar/None). III adds shades of dreamy psychedelia, gentle electronic flourish, and personal introspection to their bossa-nova-indie-pop sound.

Classic CBGB's band, The Shirts, (who were even managed by Hilly Kristal) will release their first record in 26 years! "Only the Dead Know Brooklyn" will be out on Mike Thorne's StereoSociety.com label this fall. Thorne produced The Shirts' first two legendary albums in the 70s.

Dangerous Muse have recently wrapped their Mike Korbick-directed video for "The Rejection." Stay tuned.

Brother and sister David LK and Jessie Murphy will hold a joint EP-release party June 25th at NYC's Living Room.  Jessie's "Singles and Archival Footage" will be her 2nd of 3 releases this year. Jessie Murphy and her new band project, The Love, have announced a UK tour for the summer. Dates to be announced soon!  The Love are currently in the studio recording their first LP.

The votes are in: The Picture are the winners of CMJ and Energizer's contest to win a gig at this month's Rock Hall Festival in Cleveland! They will play the Grog Shop June 17th with The Lashes, as well as an earlier show (1 p.m.) at the Rock Hall's outdoor stage. This is part of The Picture's Mid-west tour (link to tour dates page) that will also include an on-air performance at Cincinnati's WOXY.

Jessie Murphy will be releasing "Singles and Archival Footage" this summer. Murphy's latest batch of tracks will tide you over until the release of her LP with new band project, The Love (with Jamie Stellini).

Dangerous Muse's "Apart" and Rachael Sage's "Violet or Blue" are featured alongside Erasure and The Ark on Sirius OutQ's Hot 20.

Dangerous Muse will do a guest DJ spot on Sirius and do an extended interview for Larry Flick's OutQ weekend show. The boys will be shooting with renowned photographer Dahlen for a pictorial in the July issue of Flaunt. Interviews in Envy Man and Q Vegas on stands soon.

Cordless Recordings will soon be releasing a cluster from trans-Atlantic dance-hit producing duo Koishii & Hush. Koishii & Hush have completed remixes for Dannii Minogue, Danny Elfman and their own version of INXS' "Need You Tonight." They will also be remixing the single from INXS' new album and will be releasing a track entitled, "Calling" featuring UK Idol Suzanne Shaw.

Dirty Little Secret will hold an LA-exclusive release party at LA's Cinespace for their debut LP, "Cabin Fever," April 4th. Hotel Lights will release their self-titled debut on Bar/None this Spring. Frontman Darren Jessee used to be the drummer in Ben Folds Five, but now he's teamed up with former members of Sparklehorse and Archers of Loaf to craft a breathtaking collection of wistful, dreamy pop. "A.M. Slow Golden Hit," a tribute to the golden age of, guess what, a.m. radio pop, has to be one of the standout indie rock tracks in the past year.

National tour commences in Boone NC on Jan 18th

The Contessa's Party, the second full-length CD from Mike Thorne, will be released this spring on Thorne's own StereoSociety.com. As the title implies, the soundtrack for one hell of a soirée, complete with a colorful cast of guests: Sarah Jane Morris, BETTY, Lene Lovich, Kit Hain, and The Uptown Horns. Best-known as a producer (most notably Wire, Soft Cell, Bronski Beat),the album marks Thorne's debut as a songwriter. The Contessa's Party is the fifth release on StereoSociety.com, following records by Lene Lovich, Hilly Kristal and more.

Margaret has toured internationally with The White Stripes, Reverend Horton Heat and Detroit Cobras just to know a few. Loved here and abroad, Mr. Airplane Man were one of the final recording sessions produced by the legendary British DJ, John Peel before his death. MG is currently writing songs for film and TV, a couple of which were well utilized in steamy sex scenes for "The L Word". A tour to support the release is currently being planned for late spring.

Jessie Murphy is readying for the release of new EP "Room Alone." Several of the songs will be featured in the upcoming movie, "Last Request," starring Danny Aiello. Jessie is also doing a residency at NYC's the Living Room every Tuesday in February.

Songs by The Orion Experience will be featured on episodes of the new A&E series, Rollergirls.

The Soft Explosions' Irina Yalkowsky has added the Brian Jonestown Massacre to her musical resume. She played the French Festival Transmusicales de Rennes with BJM this month. Yalkowsky is an exceptional guitarist who has a blues background; don't miss the Soft Explosions NYC show 12/17 on the heels of a packed gig at Webster Hall (David Bowie was in attendance!)

CBGB's owner Hilly Kristal will release music of his own in the New Year on StereoSociety.com. His "Mud Christmas" EP features remixes of the song "Mud" off his full length album, "Mad Mordechai." "Mud Christmas" is now available for download at www.stereosociety.com

Mott Music, an award winning documentary about a piano restoration factory in the South Bronx, recently enjoyed a run on the Sundance Channel. Directed by newcomer Jarred Alterman, the 28 minute film explores a craft that is facing extinction in the digital age. Mott Music was featured at the SXSW Film Festival, the Jacksonville film fest and the Bronx Indie Film Festival.

Basement genius Jody Delli Santi has teamed up with Grammy winning producer Warren Riker to form Supercreep, a psychotic beast that eats pop-punk and spews forth a genre-fucking blast of mesmerizing, manic rock. Unleashed in the first quarter.

The Yellow Umbrella tour featuring Duncan Sheik, David Poe, Sarah Bettens & Christine Baze is underway! Duncan is putting the final touches on his most realized effort to date "White Limousine." It will see daylight at the end of January.

Marianne Faithfull is getting ready to release a live DVD and CD recorded in March, 2005, at the Music Box of the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. "Live In Hollywood" finds Faithfull accompanied by a top-notch band and the 90+ minute set spans her entire career. Venus and Vanity Fair are heralding Marianne in their latest issues.

Critics fave, Blood on the Wall have been heralded in the likes of Rolling Stone, Blender, Spin and Entertainment Weekly. They will also be featured in Black Book's winter music issue.
